Blinds for the Housing Market…

14 01 2011

What will happen to house prices in 2011?  Discounting regional variations a broad  brush of estimates puts it anywhere between a slight increase to a larger fall in house prices.  Will the Bank of England raise the base rate? And if so by how much? Will mortgage deals improve for first time buyers, and will the gulf between the sales prices expected and the price purchasers are willing to pay decrease?  Will savings rates continue to improve for those who rely on that income? Perhaps only a crystal ball will hold the true answers to these questions and for the rest of us we will have to work with a best guess given the expert information and forecasts available.

If you decide to move….you will no doubt be keen to put your own mark on your new home and this will range anything from full scale renovations to maybe a lick of paint, some accessorizing, and maybe some window fashions.  Choosing blinds can have a huge impact on the feel of a particular room; controlling light and privacy, maybe providing a splash of colour, or adding warmth.  Make your house a home, a room will feel stark and explosed with nothing at the windows and these days Blind Technique can offer a type of blind in a colour and design that will match all tastes and budgets.  An immediate requirement may be a black out blind for the bedroom so you can sleep, or a long term investment could be plantation shutters for your front bay window?

Sitting tight, staying put, waiting to see what happens?  Adding value to your home either by decorating and modernizing ready for a potential sale, or even building an extension or a conservatory, will often both help a future sale whilst at the same giving you enjoyment and satisfaction now.  Blind Technique specialize in conservatory blinds, transforming a relatively cheap extension into a room that you can use all year round.  As ever these days, there are plenty of options available, and we are always willing to advise when requested.
